How We Started

We started by seeking avenues and platforms, including pageantry, to launch the initiative that had operated unofficially for over five years, especially after our founder won the coveted and prestigious crown of Miss Agriculture Nigeria 2020/2021. Now, we are creating awareness through campaigns, sensitization, sensitization and empowerment of youths and address the women with great zeal and passion to address employment deficit amongst youths and curb social vices by developing programs and interventions aimed at providing youths and capability, women the capacity, capability and skill sets required to thrive not only in the agro-industry but in other areas of economic activity. We have continued to do this in a sustainable deeds, by performing manner while seeking to deepen our impact in society by charitable deeds particularly for the underprivileged.

About CIDI

Crystal Impact Development Initiative (CIDI) is a nonprofit, non-Government

organization (NGO), established in 2023 and registered with the Corporate

Affairs Commission. CIDI’s vision is “to create sustainable livelihood and economic stability for youths and women through Agriculture and entrepreneurial opportunities.”

CIDI is working mostly for the disadvantaged segment of society without any distinction of religion, ethnicity, creed, sect, or politics (secular). CIDI main thrust is building human capacities to improve livelihood conditions. This is done by providing livelihood trainings and in-kind support to women and youth for income generation and self-reliance. CIDI believes that sustainable development can be possible by uplifting the deprived communities and providing them opportunities for growth and productivity.

CIDI has been active in the field of livelihood through the promotion of women and youth participation in Agriculture, protection through the provision of child protection services and response and prevention of gender-based violence, Nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene, advocacy and human capacity development.

We are committed to working with other like-minded public and private organizations in addressing the SDG goals 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, and 8 which are no poverty, No hunger, Good health and well-being, Gender Equality, Clean water and sanitation, decent work, and Economic growth.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

Advocate for the rights of marginalized groups, including women, children, internally displaced persons (IDPs), orphans, and persons with special needs.
Raise awareness on issues related to agriculture, nutrition, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and
Hygiene and economic empowerment.
Influence policies and local government practices to create a conducive environment for
sustainable development.

Networking and Partnerships

Build strategic alliances with national and international organizations, government agencies,
local communities, and stakeholders.
• Foster collaborations aimed at improving resource mobilization, knowledge-sharing, and
advocacy.
• Strengthen partnerships with local, regional, and international actors to ensure integrated,
community-driven interventions.

Community Mobilization and Sensitization

• Organize awareness campaigns, workshops, and community meetings to address issues
affecting vulnerable populations.
• Promote active community participation in the design, implementation, and monitoring of
development programs.
• Mobilize local resources and support for community-based development initiatives

Community Engagement

Engage with target groups in meaningful ways to understand their needs, challenges, and aspirations.
Facilitate dialogue between communities and service providers, ensuring that interventions are context-specific and demand-driven.
Ensure transparency, inclusivity, and accountability in all community engagement activities.

Capacity Building

• Provide training, technical support, and resources to local communities, organizations, and
individuals to build their capacity for self-sufficiency.
• Empower local leaders, women, and youth with skills and knowledge that enable them to
advocate for and implement sustainable solutions.
• Promote the development of skills in sectors such as agriculture, entrepreneurship, health, and community leadership.

Service Provision

• Provide essential services such as healthcare, food security, safe water, sanitation facilities, and education to vulnerable groups.
• Focus on improving the livelihoods of target communities through direct interventions and
support services.
• Ensure that services provided are sustainable and respond to the most pressing needs of
beneficiaries.

Strategy Development and Implementation

• Develop evidence-based strategies and operational plans to address priority needs in target
communities.
• Align programs and activities with CIDI’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
• Ensure effective implementation through coordination, clear roles, and responsibilities, and
consistent monitoring of outcomes

Research and Needs Assessment

• Conduct baseline surveys, needs assessments, and community consultations to understand the challenges and needs of vulnerable groups.
• Use research findings to inform program design, advocacy efforts, and resource allocation.
• Regularly assess the impact of programs and adjust interventions based on findings.

Monitoring and Evaluation

Implement a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation (M&E) framework to track the
progress of interventions.
• Ensure continuous learning through regular assessments, beneficiary feedback, and datadriven analysis.
• Make necessary adjustments to programs to ensure relevance, efficiency, and effectiveness in meeting community needs.

Message From Founder

Thank you for visiting our website and for your interest in the Crystal impact Development Initiative. We are an organized and passionate community seeking to greatly impact the lives of youths and women, primarily by milking the myriad of opportunities in the agro-industry and building human capacities to improve livelihoods, such as through Nutrition, Protection, and Water Sanitation ande (WASH), among the many other opportunities in our portfolio of empowerment programmes.

We aim to promote the participation of young people in Agriculture in a manner that makes them agropreneurs and employers of labour: We believe that by creating very rewarding, life-changing opportunities for Nigerian youths, they will be less attracted to social vices, and our society will be better for it. And, the time is now to get the show on the road and make Agriculture appealing, attractive and lucrative, leveraging mechanization, technology and the vast yawning market where demand for agricultural produce outweighs supply.

With people at the heart of our programmes, we will continue to broaden the opportunity space for youths and women through entrepreneurial competence development initiatives while offering them learning platforms to harness their potential in business and finance management that will put them on the path to becoming business leaders.

As we do all of this, we will not neglect our commitment to a better humanity as we strengthen and expand our charitable causes .
